How does Adult Residential Care of NH provide forever homes?

Forever is a long time, and the Adult Residential Care format is designed to create the ideal environment to make Forever happen. Adult Residential Care places the importance on their individuals. Owning their own houses means that no one will be displaced due to an expired lease. Small numbers of staff that work the week in blocks of time allow each staff to share a close bond with the individuals they work with.

Adventure await for staff who enjoy taking developmentally challenged adults on outings.

What does Adult Residential Care of NH provide?

Adult Residential Care of NH provides houses for individuals in need of care. However, what we provide goes far beyond the shelter of 4 walls. We have fully trained staff who share in our vision of creating enriching, caring, and supportive environments for the residents to live and thrive in. Each house is a genuine home. At these homes, we fill the gap between what an individual can personally achieve and what is still required for a healthy happy home life. Adjusting for each individual’s needs staff assist with medication, provide home cooked meals, do laundry, help with personal hygiene, transportation, house cleaning, etc.

The perfect job for mothers, ARC of NH, Inc staff and family on a daycation to a civil war re-enactment.

What does a home life in one of our houses look like?

Life in our homes looks exactly like what you would find in an average household. Home cooked meals, gardening, shopping. Each day, individuals wake up to the same staff that was there the night before. Then after breakfast on weekdays many head off to day programs, selected to best suit the individual’s needs. On weekends staff take individuals out into the community for interesting and fun activities. Staff select activities based on what the individual’s personal likes and interests are as well as sharing their own interests with the residents. Past activities include, fairs, circus shows, fireworks, walks, dog shows, trips to Boston, swimming, baseball games, apple picking, sledding.
